Preparation Guidelines

Recommended Size: The poster should be of A0 size (84cm x 119cm). The orientation of the poster must be vertical (portrait).

Heading: A header including the title, author name(s), contact information and organization(s) should be included at the top of the poster. The recommended lettering size is 3 cm.

Structure: The content of each poster should be clearly divided into sections. Numbering the individuals panels, or connecting them with arrows, helps the viewer to view the poster.

Legibility: The poster should be readable from a distance of at least 3m. Suggested sizes are a minimum graph size of 25cm, section heading letters of 2cm, and text and figure lettering not less than 1cm.

Aesthetics: Clearly label diagrams, tables, graphs, images etc. Keep your design simple. It is usually best to use a light background with dark text.

Presentation: Authors may prepare additional material, such as A4 sized prints of the poster, to distribute to other participants. A handout should expand on the main concept(s) in the poster, and business cards or personal information cards are useful for delegates who are interested in contacting you for further information.
